In honor of the first phase of ISTEP happening this week, here are a few "nontraditional" test answers.

Many of these are hilarious -- many are also NSFW/K [Not Safe for Work or Kids].

Seriously, this was a big deal?

An Iranian "news" agency felt the need to cover up First Lady Michelle Obama when she made her Oscar appearance Sunday night.

The NFL Scouting Combine is just a weird event.  In my days as a sports journalist, most of which were near its Indianapolis site, I have covered this surreal spectacle several times.  There are always odd questions meant to get at the thinking process of the prospects.  NFL executives want to know "How does this guy think?" and "What's going to rattle this kid?"

Occasionally, the weird goes public.  A few years ago, the story was about a team asking a player if his mother was a "professional woman"... a "working girl"... y'know, a porstitute.  This year, GMs asked inquiring about sexual orientation, perhaps spurred by -- but not just because of -- the Manti Te'o debacle.

It's a huge investment signing a player who could positively or negatively affect your fortunes, your franchise, your future.

Still, I have to wonder how far is too far?
