An update on in the investigation into two fires last week.

Authorities now say that an electrical appliance was the cause of a fire in the 1500 block of Spruce Street.

That fire damaged a house next door.

A man that lived in the house escaped unharmed.

Another fire that started a short time later on North 15^th is now being considered arson.

Authorities say that the fire could have been accidental.

Since the house was vacant is could have been a homeless person trying to stay warm or it could have been intentionally set.

 

Meanwhile, fire investigators say that they are also investigating a fire that damaged a bathroom in Demming Park Thursday morning.
