Police have seized a bald eagle from a Greencastle man who was keeping it inside a cage at his apartment.

49 year old Jeffrey Henry was arrested by conservation officers after receiving an anonymous tip that he had the eagle.

The man apparently captured the juvenile bird a few days earlier.

The bald eagle has been taken to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator.

Henry faces a charge of unlawful possession of the eagle which is punishable by up to 60 days in jail and a $500 fine.
