Nearly 100 people have been left shut out of their apartments after the roof of their building collapsed last night.

A crew was contracted to fix the roof on the Chateau Apartments in Clinton.

Last night around 8:00 p.m. heavy rain caused an area that was covered with roofing felt collapse.

No one was injured.

Residents were taken to make-shift shelters and the Red Cross has been called in to assist residents.
