A Terre Haute man will make a court appearance next week after allegedly beating his mother, locking her in a closet and then stealing her purse.

Apparently Daniel Brown became angry at his mother while she was attempting to fix him a can of soup but wasn’t fast enough to suit him.

Brown is being held on $60,000 bond on charges of robbery, criminal confinement, disorderly conduct, and resisting law enforcement.

Brown goes to court Wednesday.
