More and more people are shopping online and that often means packages left unattended on front porches everywhere.

It’s a problem that the Terre Haute Police Department says that is increasing.

UPS trains their drivers to be observant and look for crooks that might follow them around and then grab packages after they drop them off.

Police advise to use online tracking services to know you’re your package has been delivered.

Police also recommend that you report any suspicious activity in your neighborhood.

If you are concerned over recent thefts you can set up an alternate delivery to an address where there will be someone to receive your package or arrange to have it held at the delivery depot for you to pick up.
